Trains from Zurich, Basel, or Geneva take around 6 to 7 hours to reach Leipzig. Passengers often have to change trains in Frankfurt, and depending on the connection, there may be another change, for example in Erfurt. The journey offers plenty of variety, with different cities and landscapes to discover along the way. Alternatively, you can also travel by car or plane, but the train remains a reliable way to reach the Saxon metropolis in a predictable manner.
