With its Gothic town hall and houses with gabled facades, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and forms the historic center of the city. As you stroll through the narrow streets, you’ll discover the famous Manneken Pis—a charming symbol of Brussels’ sense of humor. The Royal Palace, the Parliament building, and the futuristic Laeken Quarter are also nearby and well worth a visit. The best way to round off the evening is with classic Belgian fries and a good beer.

    Enjoy one last breakfast in Brussels before continuing on to Antwerp by train. Sit back and relax—in about 45 minutes, you’ll arrive comfortably in a city home to one of Europe’s most impressive train stations, «Antwerp-Centraal». From there, it’s just a short walk to the city center. 
    The city is known for its Diamond District, its diverse fashion scene, and its Baroque art. Simply stroll through Antwerp, admire the architecture, visit a museum or two, and sample local beers in historic squares. Overnight stay in Antwerp for 1 night.

    Insider tip: Halfway between Brussels and Antwerp lies the charming city of Mechelen—a historic, child-friendly city rich in cultural heritage. St. Rumbold’s Cathedral, the Hof van Busleyden city palace, as well as picturesque alleys and Baroque facades characterize the cityscape along the Dijle River.     After a hearty breakfast, you will begin your walking tour of the medieval city, with its romantic canals, winding alleys, and historic brick facades. Walks or boat rides along the canals offer particularly atmospheric views.

    Just a 15-minute train ride from Bruges you'll find the Flemish coast on the North Sea. Right outside the train station, you'll find a wide sandy beach with a lively promenade. Highlights include the elegant Royal Galleries, the harbor, and Fort Napoleon with views of the sea and dunes. Ostend is the hometown of artist James Ensor, whose museum showcases the city’s artistic spirit. Fresh shrimp, seafood restaurants, and cafés define the relaxed coastal atmosphere.

From the train station, the main sights are within easy reach: the imposing Gravensteen, St. Bavo’s Cathedral with the world-famous Ghent Altarpiece, and the Belfry, a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering sweeping views of the city.
