The Rialto Market is held daily at the foot of Venice's most famous bridge. The fresh produce has always been transported by boat to the promenade on the Grand Canal. So get up early and enjoy the colourful hustle and bustle! After the market, Venetians meet up in one of the neighbouring bacari to enjoy a glass of wine and cicchetti - the local tapas.

You have to see Venice from the water. The vaporetto is an easy and inexpensive way to get from A to B. Alternatively, you can take a romantic gondola ride through the small canals of this beautiful city.

We would like to inform you that for selected dates between 3 April and 26 July 2026, an access fee will be charged for visitors to the historic city of Venice. This applies only to day visitors without accommodation in Venice.
Information on possible exemptions or fee waivers, as well as further details on payment methods, can be found at cda.ve.it. Any violation will be punished by the City of Venice with a fine ranging from 25 to 150 euros.
